Enabling contract awarded for DAMAC Tower in Beirut

Luxury lifestyle real estate developer DAMAC Properties has announced that it has awarded the enabling works contract for its prestigious new real estate project at Solidere –launched last month.

Zetas Apex Foundation Technologies SAL have been awarded the contract to complete the enabling works on site at the prime location in downtown Solidere. This phase of the construction process is expected to take around nine months due to the rocky nature of the terrain and will involve piling and excavation to a depth of 24metres.

Commenting on the contract award Ziad El Chaar, General Manager of DAMAC Properties said: ‘We are delighted to announce that work on site is commencing within two weeks of the launch of this prestigious project.

“This is a hugely exciting development for us – our first in Lebanon – and we are confident that it will become the most sought after address in downtown Solidere.’

DAMAC Properties is confident that it can capitalise on it success and reputation in Dubai where it has already handed over more than 3,000 units in a range of luxury residential and commercial buildings. It is also aggressively moving forward with construction plans and developments in Abu Dhabi, Jordan, Qatar, Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

Mr El Chaar added: ‘Part of our success across the Middle East to date has been the ability to spot prime locations and deliver iconic buildings in those areas.

‘We believe that the product that we have recently unveiled will further demonstrate our experience in those fields and it is even more fitting that we have already put in place the necessary contracts and permits to begin work as soon as possible - as we know this is of the utmost importance for customers.’
