DAMAC Founder and Chairman to speak on MENA policies and economic transformation programmes at World Economic Forum (WEF) DAVOS 2024

The 2024 Annual Meeting commences today at World Economic Forum (WEF) Davos in Switzerland and will take place until January 19, 2024.

The theme for the Forum this year is ‘Rebuilding Trust.’ The Annual Meeting will convene world leaders from governments, ministries, businesses, and the world at large to address key challenges, and discuss priorities for the year and beyond. WEF provides a platform to engage in constructive, forward-looking dialogues and help find solutions through public-private cooperation.

During the Forum, Hussain Sajwani, Founder and Chairman of DAMAC Group will speak at a panel titled ‘MENA’s Economic Dilemma: Reforming amid Uncertainty’. The panel will focus on how leaders can make progress on their economic transformation programmes, respond to immediate shocks and more.

Scheduled to take place on Thursday, 18 January at 13.15 CET time (16.15 UAE time), the session will be broadcast live.

Panel: ‘MENA’s Economic Dilemma: Reforming amid Uncertainty’

Panellists in the session will include Khalfan Belhoul, Chief Executive Officer, Dubai Future Foundation, UAE; Hussain Sajwani, Founder and Chairman, DAMAC Group; Rania A. Al-Mashat, Minister of International Cooperation of Egypt; Nadia Fettah Alaoui, Minister of Economy, and Finance of Morocco: and Mazen S. Darwazeh, Executive Vice-Chairman; President, Middle East and North Africa, Hikma Pharmaceuticals, Jordan.

The panel will be moderated by Meghan O’Sullivan, Jeane Kirkpatrick Professor of the Practice of International Affairs and Director of Geopolitics of Energy Project at Harvard University.
